An interesting little piece by Jacob Weisberg appeared in Slate today. It details some of the political buzz surrounding potential Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama. Obama seems to be defining a new, fairly left-wing, path for Democratic presidential candidates to follow.It certainly gives one hope that there may be some end to the continuing rightward shift of mainstream politics in Western countries. Still, let's not get carried away just yet.
